Stand Up Girls learn to stand up for the big things.
Together we stand.
girls, grades 2nd-6th are welcome!
Our group empowers young girls to stand up for themselves, through conflict resolution and self-esteem training.
For others, promoting anti-bullying and diversity acceptance. And as leaders in their communities, teaching strong
leadership skills and public speaking techniques.
Monthly sessions with the girls and a parent provide opportunities to spend dedicated time talking, engaging in fun activities and building a community together. We frequently host guest speakers, mostly local women who run businesses or have valuable skills and experiences to share with the girls.
Girls develop the tools they need to stand up for themselves, for others, for what they believe in and for what’s right.
Each Stand Up Girls workshop provides a platform to talk about important subjects that all too often fall by the wayside because life is so busy. Parents and girls participate in role-play and thoughtful, smart conversations. We often hear from parents that Stand Up Girls provides a valuable service, helping to start a dialogue with their daughters about a difficult subject. We help girls and their parents navigate and normalize the ups and downs together as a team.
Get up. Stand up.
We build resilience in our girls, teaching them self-respect. Stand Up Girls stand up for themselves.
